Samsung has released their newest laptop – the R700 – which looks like the perfect laptop to have when you want something that can do everything for you. The 17” display has a resolution of 1440x900 offering users the best image quality that they can expect from a laptop and perfect for watching any HD movies, viewing your personal photos, and playing games that have intense 3D graphics. The R700 is equipped with the Nvidia GeForce graphics card. One thing that separates this laptop from most of the competition is the ability to hook it up to any HD television because of its HDMI interface. Samsung created the R700 in a way that would make it a perfect mobile multimedia system. They built it with a double DVD drive that can read both CD’s and DVD’s for playback and for writing.
Along with the movie and music features it also has a 1.3 megapixel web camera built into it, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.0, and even WiFi. For having such a wide screen most consumers would assume that the laptop was heavy – making it hard to bring on any trips. Surprisingly enough the R700 is one of the lightest laptops in its class making it perfect to bring with you on those long trips.
Samsung has pre-installed Windows Vista Home Premium onto the R700 and is selling it for a retail price of $900. This is an affordable price for a laptop that offers so much.
