Unless you've been living under a rock in geek world you are probably aware that NVIDIA and Intel are at it again in another one of their famous spats. So far neither company has gone to any legal lengths, but there has been a lot of word swapping and not too kind at that either.But what comes at a bigger surprise is the fact that Ion, the platform that promises to offer better graphic performance on netbooks, will not only support VIA's Atom processor and Intel's Atom processor, but the Intel Core 2 Duo, Celeron and Pentium.
If you're surprised at this, don't be as those of you who know the technological terms for processors will remember that this has its roots in the MCP79M/MCP7A chipset platform.
So we'll just have to see what happens between now and June when Ion is reported to be released, first on nettops and than on netbooks.
