ALIENWARE'S ALL POWERFUL M17X

You might remember that last week we discussed the soon to be announced all powerful laptop from Alienware. Well folks its finally here and is packing some serious power. We'll go right into the details.

Core 2 Extreme quad core CPU is the brains behind this 17-inch monster. You can get up to 8GB of DDR3 1333MHz DDR3 memory along with a 1TB 7200 rpm hard disk or 512GB SSD (RAID 1 or RAID 0). A nine cell battery and FireWire as well as 4x 2.0 USB ports along with eSATA, ExpressCard and 802.11nWiFi are all included.

8-in-1 media card reader, dual-layer Blu-ray, 1920 x 1200 pixel edge-to-edge LCD and DisplayPort, HDMI out are all there. But probably most important is the GeForce 9400M G1 GPU with HybridPower technology and a pair of GTX 280M GPU are the brains behind the graphic features.

You'll probably be surprised at the starting price which is set at just $1799. However, that does not include much of what we listed above so be prepared for this to move up into the 3 and 4k region when its released. No word on price but that is soon to come at E3 next week.
