The Gateway EC18T has been approved by FCC. We first heard about this tablet notebook in September. And then Acer (which owns Gateway) kept itself busy with other touch tablets like the Aspire 1420p/1820pt/1820ptz. But now the EC18T has resurfaced.
This particular model of EC18T which passed through FCC seems a rebranded version of the Acer Aspire 1420p because both models have similar specifications.
The EC18T is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron SU2300 dual-core processor. It has an 11.6 inch touch-screen display with 1366 x 768 pixels. Up to 8 GB of RAM can be installed. The hard drive comes in 250 GB/320GB or 500GB capacities. Other specifications include HDMI, VGA, 3 USB 2.0 ports and audio jacks. The battery is expected to provide up to 8 hours of up time.
