Sony has refreshed its VAIO T thin and light series with CULV processors. The new models in the series can be configured with CULV processors including 1.2GHz Intel Celeron SU2300, 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo SU9400 and 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo 9600 processors. All three chips will come with the Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics.
The VAIO T thin and light notebooks have 11.1 inch displays. They are available with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 500GB of hard drive or 512GB of SSDs. You can also install practically any version of Windows 7.
On the flip side, the VAIO T laptops don’t come cheap. In fact the base configuration starts at around $1400. But you do get some premium features which you wouldn’t find in budget notebooks. For instance, Sony offers batteries that will last for up to 17 hours. All laptops in the series come with optical drives. Other features include optional Blu-ray drives, optional TV tuner and fingerprint scanners.
