LAPTOP MESSENGER BAGS
Laptop Messenger Bag
Today, it seems like everyone has a laptop. Years ago, technology was expensive and the so called ‘portable’ machines you could buy still weighed a large amount and were vastly underpowered for business tasks. These days, with groundbreaking laptops like the HP DV2 and the Macbook Air, laptops have hit the big time. Nearly every business professional has a laptop and so do many regular consumers. Some people use their laptops as their primary machine while others use them only when they need to be portable. Some companies have even started getting rid of all their desktop machines and replacing their entire solution with mobile devices like laptops, netbooks, Smartphone’s and PDAs.With all this new technology being carried around by hundreds of thousands of people every day, it’s important to consider exactly how you’re going to transport your device. For many users, getting a laptop messenger bag is the best option. In terms of carrying your laptop, messenger bags can achieve a perfect balance of comfort, style and durability that you really need when carrying around a piece of hardware that could easily cost hundreds of dollars to repair or replace.
A quick search on the internet will reveal that there’s just as many different types of laptop messenger bag as there are laptops, and it can be difficult to figure out which one is the best for your needs. So what qualities are the most important when looking for a laptop messenger bag and how can you tell which are best for your individual laptop and travel requirements? Here are some things to look out for:
Comfort – Having the most attractive and shock protective laptop messenger bag in the world isn’t going to do you any good if the bag isn’t comfortable to hold. Think about the weight of your laptop and don’t forget to add up the additional weight of all the extra things you might be carrying along with it like peripherals, mice, charging units of batteries. Take a look at how easy is to adjust the laptop messenger bag for people of different heights and weight as this will a major factor in how comfortable you can make the bag. Make sure the bag comes with a padded handle and strap as these can really help when you’re carrying the bag for extended periods of time.
Security – When we talk about security we don’t know mean how well secured the laptop is within the bag, we mean how easy the bag is to get into. One of the best things about choosing a laptop messenger bag over other types of carrying equipment is that many don’t actually look like typical laptop bags at all. When you’re carrying out expensive hardware, the last thing you want to do is advertise it to everybody.
Style – People have differing opinions as to whether style matters from a laptop bag, but even if you aren’t into fashion at all there are plenty of options available when considering laptop messenger bags that combine functionality with great design. There are a number of ‘designer’ ranges available as well as companies happy to customise your bag for you before purchase.
Protection – One of the most important aspects of a laptop messenger bag and the key one that sets it apart from just a regular briefcase or rucksack is its ability to protect your laptop. A good laptop messenger bag will combine a variety of different methods in order to make sure your laptop is kept safe even when you’re on a bumpy train or riding a bike to work. Many will include various straps to keep the laptop itself in place but be careful when dealing with these are they are often designed for one certain size of laptops. While one laptop messenger bag may be fully able to carry a laptop of any size, another may only be designed for one with a 15” screen. As well as protecting your laptop from moving, a good laptop messenger bag will also protect your laptop from the elements and many of the best are completely waterproof.
Extra Features – Some bags come with extra features and compartments as well as the ability to customise the bags design to your needs. Others are made out of special material and some of the most original even come with solar power charging panels to keep your devices charged up when you’re on the go. Make sure the extra features boasted are things that you’ll actually use though, as they often increase the price tag for a laptop messenger bag by a significant amount.
Hopefully using these tips you’ll be able to find a laptop messenger bag that suits your needs and feels comfortable. If you’ve looked around and found a lot of bags with similar features and price and are still unsure about which laptop messenger bag to buy, here’s 3 we’ve found that stand out from the crowd:
3. Recycled Laptop Messenger Bag
http://www.amazon.com/Design-Your-Own-Recycled-Messenger/dp/B0020MUFCY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1242934446&sr=1-1
This recycled laptop messenger bag from Amazon might not exactly be suited for business users, but it’s a great bag for kids. The bag is designed for smaller laptops and made out of recycled vinyl. It’s lightweight and has a strap that should be adjustable to fit a child or young teenager easily.
The real draw of this bag for kids is that it comes with pens which can draw pictures onto the vinyl so they essentially get to design their own bag. Once drawn the pictures are permanent and won’t fade away with use. Maybe not one for big business, but it’s unique, environmentally friendly and should put a smile on someone’s face.
2. Voltaic Panel Laptop Messenger Bag
http://www.voltaicsystems.com/bag_messenger.shtml
Designed for 15” laptops, this bag has all the usual features of a laptop messenger bag including a padded, adjustable strap and a laptop sleeve that can also be adjusted to fit in small laptops. It’s a great option for a secure laptop bag that has the space for a phone and other devices, but it’s not the space that’s exciting about Voltaic’s offering, it’s the solar panels.
3 large solar panels at the front allow you to charge portable devices on the go. They aren’t designed to charge laptops but can provide some extra juice for smaller devices such as mobile phones and mp3 players. If you like the idea of giving your phone some extra battery simply by walking around outside with it plugged into this laptop messenger bag, the Voltaic option is one of the best solar panel bags for both style and value.
1. Timbuk2 Laptop Messenger Bag
http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/messenger/messenger-classic/
Timbuk2 is one of the biggest names in laptops bags and taking a look at its classic laptop messenger bag design, it’s easy to see why. You can buy the bag in a variety of attractive and stylish designs and if you buy direct from their website, you can even customise the bag so it’s better suited for you. Prices depend on the design and options but generally cost between $70 and $150.
The Timbuk2 bag comes with a full waterproof liner, a removal strap with comfort pads, an adjustable shoulder strap and a padded compartment to keep your laptop secure. There’s also plenty of space for work or textbooks available and plenty of compartments which make organising your stuff really easy.
Hopefully this article will have helped you find exactly the type of laptop messenger bag that you need to keep your laptop safe and secure. It’s time to ditch that cheap bag that came bundled with your laptop and get buy a laptop messenger bag that your hardware truly deserves!

FREE LAPTOPS
Free Laptop
With the economy as it is today and many people struggling to keep up with their bills, it’s no wonder that more and more people find that they don’t have the cash to spend on expensive technology like laptops. The average laptop today costs around $600 with some of the more impressive or designer models costing over $2000. You may have seen deals or adverts online which talk about giving away a free laptop and now that we can’t always spend what we want, you might have been tempted. We take a look at these free laptop deals and see just how likely it is you’ll be able to score a laptop for free.Free Laptop Offers Online
There are countless sites online that offer you laptops entirely for free. These can be very enticing, with pictures of free laptops dotted all around and testimonials from others who have already a free laptop receiving the offer. Some of these sites can be very convincing but many of them are not legitimate. Think about exactly what the site is asking you to do for the free laptop.
Ignore stories about companies having too much stock or just giving them away for free PR. Big companies like Sony, Apple and HP don’t give anything away for free, and smaller companies can’t afford to. What is the owner of the website getting out of the deal? Can you prove that people who already have the laptop are real people? A good way to check out a deal is to use Google. Search for the free laptop site you’re visiting and see if anyone off the site has had any success in getting a laptop. If you can’t find anything, then the free laptop is probably a scam.
Now, we’ve told you this to try and protect you from the worst sites, but not every single free laptop deal online is a scam. Far from it! In fact, many of the sites are totally legitimate but you’ll find that the deals aren’t totally free because you’re required to fill in a large number of surveys, buy affiliate products or perhaps sign up to trials of services. Some of the services you are normally required to sign up for include internet rental sites like Netflix and Blockbuster, or software trials from brands like Norton.
However, many also include more serious services like Credit Cards which require a lot of personal information and if misused, could affect your credit rating. Make sure you find out exactly what the site requires and don’t sign up to anything you don’t feel comfortable about. Many services will require you to keep them for a minimum length of time so find out how much that’ll cost and cancel them if you don’t wish to use them.
The hope for the companies is that you’ll find a product that you do actually enjoy and become a lifelong customer. Either way, you WILL have to shell out some cash for your free laptop no matter what you do, but still paying a tenth of the price for a new laptop certainly doesn’t hurt so even it’s not a completely free laptop, it’s a great deal – just watch out for scammers.
Laptop Bundles
One way to get a free laptop without paying any money upfront is to find a laptop with a bundled deal for another product. One of the best ways is taking out a mobile broadband package which gives you a free laptop for signing up to a contract that provides you with internet using a cell phone network. You can also get free laptops and other devices as ‘gifts’ when you sign up to a cell phone contract with any of the big names.
Obviously, you do still have to pay for the contract or the mobile you’ve purchased, but you’re not actually paying for the laptop itself so if you do need a new phone or broadband provider, these can be really good deals. The only catch is that you’ll normally be signed up to a contract for quite a long time, such as 18 months of 2 years. By then, your free laptop might be a little obsolete. Also with deals like these you might find you don’t quite as many warranty and support options as you in stores which can be a problem if your free laptop breaks down!
Because these deals normally require you to pay monthly you generally need to undergo a credit check in order to pass for them.
Competitions
Thanks to the internet it’s now far easier to enter into competitions. No longer do you have to buy a magazine or newspaper and waste hours filling out forms, cutting them and then sending them in the post (and paying for the postage!) now there are thousands of sites every day, big and small, that run competitions. You might not win of course but if you then you really have got a 100% free laptop without any catch at all.
To maximise your chance of winning apply to as many competitions as possible. Don’t just fill out 1 competition form, fill out 10, or 100 if you have the time. The more you apply for, the greater chance you have of winning. Try to apply for competitions that have multiple prizes so you have more chance of winning and if possible, look for smaller blogs that might not have quite as many people entering so that you have less people to compete with.
When entering competitions make sure you fill out the form carefully, especially your contact details. You don’t want a wrong phone number or misspelled email to get in the way of winning any prizes and a potential free laptop.
Other Suggestions
What else can you do to get a free laptop? Check out classified sites like Craigslist and see if anyone in your local area is giving anything away. Some people clear out regularly and would rather just get rid of things as quickly as possible then mess around with eBay. It’s unlikely you’ll going to find a brand new Macbook Air this way, but you might be able to get a free laptop that’s perfectly good for everyday tasks even if it’ not the newest around.
You could also try asking your work for one if you happen to work in an office, or if you already have a work laptop that you aren’t allowed to take home you could ask if you could keep it for personal use –you’ll be surprised how many companies will allow this.
You can also ask your friends and family for a free laptop. Using social networking sites like Facebook are a great way to ask everyone you know at once if they have a free laptop hanging around. Again, you might not get the best laptop in the world but many people have laptops they aren’t using anymore due to upgrades or just lack of interest and they might be willing to part with their laptops.
Conclusion
As you can see there are quite a few options when it comes to grabbing yourself a free laptop. Just remember that most of them do require either luck or spending a little bit of cash in order to get what you want, but if you persevere and are careful to avoid scams, you could well get your hands on a free laptop without too much hard work.

TOP TEN NETBOOKS REVIEWS
Top 10 Netbooks
Sleek, slim, and plenty of computing time are just a few of the words used to describe the newest, portable computer: the netbook. Deriving its name from “Internet” and “Notebook”, a netbook is also referred to as “mini laptop” or “mini notebook”. There are several advantages and benefits to using netbooks and a clear understanding of what components makes a netbook will help ensure you select the best device for your requirements. One of the most notable features of netbooks is that they are considerably less expensive when compared to full size notebooks. For those who are seeking a budget friendly computing device that will perform many of the tasks found in a full size notebook, a netbook is an excellent choice. The most definable characteristic of a netbook is its size. Measuring up to 13 inches and weighing between ½ to 4 pounds, netbooks are small versions of laptops. Their size also makes them lightweight which increases their portability. Netbooks can easily fit inside their case and be carried in a briefcase, duffle bag, backpack, or purse. One of the factors that contribute greatly to their small size is the absence of a CD or DVD drive.
Netbooks exchange a CD drive for bigger battery power. The result is a computer that promotes all day computing. Typical notebook users quickly understand that their laptop won’t perform for an extended length of time without an additional battery charge. For journalists, media workers, or college students the need to recharge your laptop every few hours can mean a significant loss of productivity. With netbooks, the longer battery life can enable users to power their computer anywhere between 2 and 9 hours, depending upon the configurations of your computer.
As with other computing devices, netbooks are continually changing and being updated. The features found with each netbook varies and it is important to determine each computer’s specifications before making your purchase. In April 2009 Asus designed the first netbook with an internal CD/DVD drive. Other features that are continually being updated are the keyboard size, screen dimensions, weight, and wi/fi capabilities. These changes make it increasingly more difficult to determine netbooks from notebooks, however the determining factors will always be the weight of the computer and the extended battery use, enabling users to compute for long periods of time.
Here are the top ten netbooks.

When determining the best netbook for your computing needs, it’s important to determine ahead of time what your exact computing goals and purposes will be. Netbooks were designed to be computers used specifically for accessing the Internet and performing word processing tasks. Today, netbooks have evolved allowing many more uses and benefits. Built in features such as web cams, microphones, Bluetooth, and expandable ports allows users to easily expand the use of their computer.
Finally, when selecting a netbook check for a manufacturers’ warranty as these change between models. Free programs may or may not be included with your netbook so take the time to research each computer carefully and choose the one that offers the programs, memory, and capabilities that you require.

FUJITSU LIFEBOOK U2010 UMPC IS NOW WITH 2GHZ ATOM Z550 PROCESSOR

Fujitsu has come up with an increased processor option in its Loox model UMPCs which include Lifebook U810 and U2010. Introduced last year with 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, the Loox models will now incorporate a 2GH Intel Atom Z550 processor which will enhance the performance of the machine. This processor enhancement has broken Microsoft’s restrictions on XP for notebooks and is probably ready to try hands on Windows 7 RC action for speedy results.
The specifications has not been altered which includes 5.6 inch 1280 x 800 convertible touch screen display, 1GB RAM, 60 / 120GB HDD, Keyboard / Mouse Pointer, Battery capacity 20 (W/hr), Compact Flash slot, SD card slot, WiFi, BT, Webcam, USB 2.0, Fingerprint reader and Vista or XP.
The inclusion of enhanced processor means that this has now become the fastest UMPC in the market. Rumors are around the corner that after Fujitsu, Sony Vaio P and Kohjinsha will also boost up their processors, however the time will only tell the truth. Weighing 610 gm and measuring 171/135/33 mm, this mini notebook will further add a price tag of $383 to its overall cost. Well whether this new feature will lure the consumers, for that we have to wait and watch.
