Netbook Navigator has dropped the price of its 9 inch touchscreen tablet called Nav 9. The tablet is now available for as little as $599. At that price, Nav 9 is pricier than the base model of iPad by a good $100. So what do you get for your money? Here are the specs:

CPU: 1.66GHz Intel Atom N270 processor
Memory: 2GB of RAM
Storage: 16 GB solid state disk (with support for up to 128GB)

Nav 9 ships with a 3 cell battery rated at 2200mAh. The supported connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth and optional 3G. There are 3 USB ports, 1 SD card slot, a 1.3MP webcam and 1 SIM card slot.
The tablet measures 0.8 inch in thickness and weighs 2 pounds. It will start shipping soon.
