AMD-POWERED SAMSUNG X125 COMING

Samsung,it seems,is all set to launch a new thin and light notebook with an 11.6 inch display. According to Notebook Italia, the company will show off a notebook called Samsung X125 at IFA in September. The X125 is expected to be a successor to the X120 which is yet to be officially launched in the US.

The Samsung X125 will reportedly have an AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor and ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics. The 11.6 inch display will have a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Other specifications include 3G of memory, a 320GB hard drive, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and a 6-cell battery. It will run Windows 7 Home Premium.

The laptop will weigh around 3.3 pounds with the 6-cell battery. It is expected to be available in white or black. No word on a launch date, but Amazon UK has started taking pre-orders for 441 Euros
