SYNAPTICS INTRODUCES CLEARPAD 7200 TOUCHSCREEN PANELS

Synaptics is a company known for making laptop touchpads. But in addition to touchpads, the company also makes touchscreen displays. The new ClearPad 7200 line of capacitive touchscreen displays from Synaptics are expected to hit the market later this year.

These touchscreens are aimed at the touchscreen tablet space. They are meant for use in devices with screens up to 10.1 inches in thickness. They could also be used in digital photo frames and touch enabled netbooks. The Synaptics touch panels can recognize up to 10 inputs at a time. In fact, they support many of the gestures you can use on Synaptics touchpads.

The ClearPad 7200 touch panels are expected to be available later this year. They will work with Windows 7, Google Android and Linux based operating systems.
