Asus N53JN and N73JN multimedia laptops are now available for purchase in the UK. The N53JN and the N73JN are part of the Asus N series. Both notebooks feature the SonicMaster sound technology jointly developed by Asus and Bang Olufsen ICEpower audio. They also feature the NVIDIA Optimus switchable graphics technology.
The Asus N53JN has a 15.6 inch display. It is available with your choice of an Intel Core i5-520M 2.4GHz or a 2.4GHz Core i3-370M processor. Other specifications include a Nvidia GeForce GT325 or 415M dedicated graphics, 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of hard disk space and a Blu-Ray combo drive. The 15.6 inch display has a resolution of 1366×768-pixels. The laptop runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
The Asus N73JN has a 17.3 inch display. It features an Intel Core i5-520M processor, GeForce GT325M, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 640GB of storage via two 320GB hard disk drives and a Blu-Ray combo drive. The 17.3 inch display has a resolution of 1600×900-pixels. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium.
Both notebooks have built-in webcams, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth, 1 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA/USB combo port, multi-in-one card readers, HDMI and VGA outputs. The keyboards are full-sized with dedicated numeric pads.
The Asus N53JN and N73JN start at £649.99 (about $1,002) and £1,099 (about $1,695), respectively.
