The 18.4 inch Asus NX90Jq is now available for purchase. The multimedia powerhouse features an innovative design and the SonicMaster audio technology.
Several online retailers in the US have started offering the NX90Jq-A1, which has an Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz quad-core processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT335M discrete graphics with 1GB of dedicated video memory, 8GB of DDR3 memory and up to 1.28TB of hard drive storage via dual 640GB hard disks, and a Blu-ray Combo drive. The 18.4 inch LED backlit display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
According to Asus, the biggest selling point of the notebook is the SonicMaster audio technology co-developed with Bang & Olufsen. The company claims that the audio technology used in the notebook “delivers wider sonic range, louder volume and deeper bass.” The speakers of the NX90Jq are built into the aluminum lid. The laptop also features dual touchpads on either side of the keyboard.
The NX90Jq also has a 2 megapixel webcam, microphone, WiFi 802.11n, LAN, Bluetooth,2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports (one shared with an eSATA port), an 8-in-1 media card reader, HDMI and VGA outputs and a digital/analog TV tuner. The laptop comes standard with a 6-cell battery and weighs 9.7lbs. It runs Windows 7 Utimate 64-bit OS. Prices start at $2,200
