The Compaq Airlife 100 is one of the first smartbooks to hit the market. It is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs Android operating syStem. The device is kind of a cross between a laptop and a smartphone.

The Airlife 100 has been available in Spain for a while and now it is also available in Chile where the carrier Movistar is offering the device for the Chilean equivalent of about $377 US. The wireless carrier also offers mobile broadband plans for the smartbook.
The Compaq Airlife 100 has a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Other specifications include 16GB of flash storage, an SD card slot, WiFi, 3G, GPS and a VGA webcam. The mini-laptop also comes pre-loaded with NDrive navigation software. Still, no word on availability in the US.
