SAMSUNG WORKING ON A 10 INCH GALAXY TAB?

The 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab is already one of the most sought after Android tablets on the market. It hasn't started shipping yet, but it is coming soon. In fact, in a few weeks it will be available on all four major wireless carriers in the US. And now word is that Samsung is planning to launch a 10 inch version of the tablet. This particular model is expected to ship in the first half of 2011, but there is no official confirmation from Samsung as yet.

There aren't a lot of details available at the moment, but that 2011 release date suggests that it will ship with Gingerbread or Honeycomb versions of Android. These two Android versions are said to have more tablet-friendly features. The 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab runs Android 2.2 Froyo.

Meanwhile, Samsung Australia has announced that the 7 inch version of the tablet will sell for $999 Australian if you purchase it without a carrier subsidy. It is still not clear how much an unsubsidized Galaxy Tab will cost in the US.
