ACER TO LAUNCH A LINE OF TABLETS ON NOVEMBER 23

That Acer has been working on a line of tablet PCs is now no secret. And now it looks like the company is all ready to make an official launch. According to a Wall Street Journal report Acer will introduce a line of tablets at a New York event on November 23. These devices will have prices ranging from 299 to $699. They are expected to run Android, although there is no official confirmation in this regard.

There is still no official word on the specs, but we have been hearing that Acer is building 5, 7 and 10 inch tablets. These machines will be powered by ARM-based processors from NVIDIA or Qualcomm.

Acer, on its part, unveiled a concept device this summer. The machine had a 7 inch display. The company described it an eBook reader, but it looked an awful lot like a tablet PC.

By the way, this isn’t the first time Acer has built tablet-style laptops. The company has been selling a convertible tablet-style Windows laptop called the Acer Aspire 1825PTZ since earlier this year.
