CLOSER LOOK AT THE GIGABYTE T1005M CONVERTIBLE NETBOOK

The Gigabyte T1005M is a convertible tablet style netbook with a 10 inch touchscreen display which can be folded down over the keyboard for use in the tablet mode. Unlike previous convertible tablets from Gigabyte, the T1005M has a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual core processor and a capacitive touchscreen display. Earlier models had single core processors and resistive displays.

The new model also has a chiclet-style keyboard, USB 3.0 port and better build quality.It also has an eSATA USB port and USB 2.0 ports.

The T1005M has many impressive features. There are, nevertheless, a few shortcomings as well. The netbook has a 6-cell, 7650mAh battery which is rather large and sticks out from the back. The touchpad is small and has got its buttons on the left and the right side of it.

Detailed reviews of the netbook are not available at the moment because the convertible hasn't started shipping yet, but it is now available for pre-order from Amazon for $599.99.
