NOVATIUM LAUNCHES CLOUD-BASED NETBOOKS IN INDIA

Indian company Novatium has introduced an interesting line of computing devices including two small desktops and one netbook. What's peculiar about these machines is that they are not standalone computers. Instead, they are designed for cloud based computing. Users are required to pay a monthly fee to use these computers which will connect to a remote server allowing them to use Windows or Linux without having to install the operating system on their computer.

By storing their operating system in the cloud, Novatium users can access their data from multiple computers. The system has a low up-front cost, but since customers are required to pay a monthly fee it will add up over a period of time. For now the service is only available in India, but the company has plans to offer its services in other countries as well.

The Novatium computers include the Nova Neon netbook, Nova Navigator desktop, Nova Navigator Plus with a built-in hard drive and the Nova cNergy USB stick.
