T-MOBILE TO LAUNCH THE SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB ON NOVEMBER 10

T-Mobile will be first wireless carrier to actually sell a Samsung Galaxy Tab in the US. T-Mobile has announced that it will start offering the Android tablet on November 10 for $400 with a 2-year service contract. Verizon will launch the tablet the next day, on November 11th. The other two carriers that will offer the tablet in the US are Sprint and AT&T. Here are the launch details.

* T-Mobile: November 10th for $399.99 and up with 2 –year contract
* Verizon: November 11th for $599.99 without contract
* Sprint: November 14th for $399.99 with a contract
* AT&T: Still no word on pricing or availability

All the carriers will offer WiFi and 3G models of the tablet. The data plans are as given below:

* T-Mobile: $24.99 for 200MB or $39.99 for 5GB
* Sprint: $29.99 for 2GB or $$59.99 for 5GB
* Verizon: $20 for 1GB (No word on how much a 5GB data plan will cost)

The Samsung Galaxy Tab has a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, and runs Google Android 2.2. The tablet has access to the Android Market and has phone capabilities.
