
The Archos Arnova 10 currently has a 600MHz processor and a resistive touchscreen display. Archos will reportedly upgrade the tablet with a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor and a capacitive touchscreen display by April. That model will sell for $199 in the US. It will have a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It runs Android 2.1 and comes with 4GB or 8GB of storage. It will also support a range of video formats including H.264, MP4, MKV, MOV, WAV, MP3, FLAC, and OGG. The tablet also has a G-sensor, WiFi 802.11b/g, a USB 2.0 host port, speaker, mic, a microSD card slot and a front-facing VGA camera.
The Archos Arnova 8 has an 8 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. It will run about $150. Like the Arnovoa 10, this model too will get a 1GHz ARM-based processor and capacitive touchscreen display soon. It weighs about 1.1 pounds and has a microSD card slot, g-sensor and 4GB of storage. There is also a built-in mic and speakers.
