ASUS EEE PC 1015PN GETS ATOM N570 PROCESSOR

The Asus Eee PC 1015PN netbook has been updated with a dual core Atom N570 processor. The Eee PC 1015PN has been available with an Atom N550 dual core processor and NVIDIA ION graphics since last year. While the N550 has a clock speed of 1.5GHz, the N570 clocks at 1.66GHz. That means you should see some boost in performance.


The rest of the specifications remain changed. The netbook still comes standard with 1GB of RAM (supports up to 2GB), a 250GB hard drive, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n.

The Eee PC 1015PN is one of the most powerful Atom powered netbooks on the market. In the US, however, it is only available with Windows 7 Starter edition. In many other countries Asus offers the netbook with Windows 7 Home Premium. It looks like the new model will also be available with 48Whr and 56Whr battery options. No word on pricing or availability of the new model.
