ASUS EEE PAD MEMO TABLET TO HAVE A GLASSES-FREE 3D DISPLAY

Asus is showing off a 7 inch tablet called MeMo at Computex this week. The little machine was on display at CES as well. There are some major improvements, though. The Asus MeMo now features a glasses-free 3D IPS display. The tablet has also got a new name. It is now called Asus Eee Pad MeMo 3D.

The Asus MeMo already has many features that make it unique. For one thing, the tablet has a capacitive touchscreen display for finger input. It also comes with a stylus with a rubbery tip for making pressure sensitive input. Another unique feature is the “MeMIC” Bluetooth hands-free headset which allows users to listen to music or make phone calls using the tablet.

The 3D feature will only work in the landscape mode. Asus may also offer a cheaper model without the 3D display.

The Asus Eee Pad Memo will launch later this year. It will run Google Android Honeycomb operating system. Although, Asus hasn't officially confirmed this, the tablet will reportedly have a 1280 x 800 pixels display.
