CLOSER LOOK AT THE ASUS UX21 ULTRABOOK

With its ridiculously thin chassis, the Asus UX21 could easily pass off as yet another MacBook Air clone. The notebook measures 0.12 inches at its thinnest point and 0.67 inches at its thickest. Asus hasn't revealed the final pricing of the notebook, but it is expected to sell for under $1000. Incidentally MacBook Air also starts at around the same price point.


The Asus UX21 was unveiled earlier this month at the Computex trade show. It is an example of the so-called 'ultrabook' which according to Intel is a new class of affordable ultraportable computers.

The Asus UX21 has an 11.6 inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It sports an aluminum case, a full sized keyboard and a large touchpad. It weighs 2.4 pounds. The laptop will be available with your choice of an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. The storage option is a solid state disk. No word on availability at the moment.
