The HP Touchpad has a 9.7 inch, 1024 x 768 pixels display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The base configuration has 16GB of storage, WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 6300mAh battery. Another model with 32GB of storage is also available for $599.99.
The TouchPad tablet hasn't hit the streets yet, but many tech blogs have published detailed reviews. Here is a quick overview.
Laptop Magazine reports that the TouchPad has a nice, bright display with excellent viewing angles and an intuitive user interface. The speakers are good. On the downside, the tablet feels slow. And to make things worse there aren't many apps for the platform.
According to Engadget, the HP TouchPad works really well with a Palm Pre 3 phone. Although there are few built-in apps they work well. The folks at Engadget are also impressed with the onscreen keyboard. On the flip side, they were underwhelmed by the slow boot speeds and low benchmark scores.
