The Acer Chromebook is still cheaper. The WiFi-only version of the laptop runs $349. The 3G-version goes for $429. That said, Windows laptops with similar hardware are still cheaper.
A Chromebook is a laptop running Google's Chrome OS which is a light-weight operating system built around a web-browser. In looks a Chrombook is no different from a laptop, but it is practically useless when you are not connected to the internet. Needless to say, Chromebook sales are yet to take off in a big way. But this price drops should lure more customers into buying one.
