ASUS ANNOUNCES UX21 AND UX31 ULTRATHIN NOTEBOOKS

Asus has announced two new ultraportable notebooks. While the Asus UX21 has an 11.6 inch display, the UX31 sports a larger 13.3 inch panel. Both models will be introduced in the US on October 11th.


The Asus UX21 and UX31 measure 0.67 inches at their thickest part. They sport a brushed aluminum chassis, Intel’s latest Core series ULV processors and SSDs. Other specifications include Chiclet-style keyboards, a glass trackpad, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, micro HDMI output port and mini DisplayPort. The smaller model has a 1366 x 768 pixels resolution, while the larger model has an unusually high resolution display with 1600 x 900 pixels.

Asus says that the new laptops will resume from sleep mode in just two seconds. They can also stay in hibernate mode for up to 7 days. No word on pricing for the US market.
