The Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the successor to the popular Eee Pad Transformer. Asus also launched another tablet called Eee pad Slider in 2011. Unlike the Transformer, the Slider had a slide-out keyboard which would hide itself behind the display when you are not using it.
In 2012 Asus also plans to launch new Transformer tablets with Windows 8. The existing versions run Google Android. Windows 8 is said to be better optimized to run on touchscreen devices. It also supports ARM-based processors. Asus hopes that tablets running Windows 8 will be able to meet consumers’ data consumption and data creation needs.
