According to the folks at the Russian site NoMobile.ru, the Iconia Tab A700 has a 10.1 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixels display. It will be powered by a 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. The tablet has also got a SIM card slot which probably means that it will be available with 3G or 4G connectivity.
Other specifications include front and rear facing cameras, a microHDMI output port, a microUSB port and audio ports. The tablet weighs 1.4 pounds with the the 9800mAh battery which will reportedly get up to 10 hours of battery life.
Acer isn’t the first company to launch a quad-core tablet. Asus has already launched one – the Eee Pad Transformer Prime. But it looks like the A700 will be the first quad-core tablet with a 1080p HD display.
The Acer Iconia Tab A700 is expected to hit the market in March or April. It will probably be on display at CES in January.
