ARCHOS 101 G9 TABLET NOW SHIPPING WITH 1.5GHZ PROCESSOR IN FRANCE

The Archos 101 G9 tablet has started shipping in France. It is available in several different configurations. The base model has a 1GHz TI OMAP 4 dual core processor. Higher-end configurations have 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz processors.


As you can probably imagine, the 1.5Ghz model is faster than the 1GHz model. The Archos 101 G9 is one of the first devices to ship with the 1.5Ghz TI OMAP 4460 processor and it looks like the new processor is quite snappy.

The Archos 101 G9 is a 10.1 inch tablet with a 1280 x 800 pixels display. It is available with 8GB or 16GB of SSD storage. Alternatively you can configure the tablet with a 250GB hard drive. Other specifications include WiFi, Bluetooth and optional 3G. The tablet runs Google Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system. An update to Android 4.0 is soon expected.
