Microsoft will launch Windows 8 for Intel based computers later this year. But it looks like companies interested in building Windows tablets with ARM processors will have to wait much longer.
Lenovo is reportedly also working on tablets with Intel’s Medfield and Clover Trail chips. These are Intel’s answer to ARM-based processors. Like ARM processors, these too are highly power efficient.
Meanwhile, neither Lenovo nor Toshiba have officially announced plans to build Windows tablets with ARM-based processors.
